Limited Number of HelloFresh Meal Boxes Still Available

The Nawash HelloFresh program has been very positively received. We have been able to assist hundreds of member households all over Canada with boxes of delicious fresh food delivered right to their doors. We want to ensure that we use every dollar allocated to this program, so we are happy to announce that there are still a very limited number of HelloFresh food boxes available for off-reserve members who have not yet taken advantage of this great benefit.

To qualify for a HelloFresh food box:

  • You must be a Chippewas of Nawash registered member
  • You must live in Canada
  • You must live outside Neyaashiinigmiing
  • Only one box per household is allowed. Neither you, nor anyone else at your address, has already received a HelloFresh food box under this program

To apply, call our toll-free number, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST, Monday to Friday: 1-844-922-1337

Convenient Online Application Added for Grocery Gift Card

The Council wants to make it as easy as possible for our member households in Canada to apply for the grocery gift card benefit. In addition to in-person application scheduled in the coming weeks, as well as regular mail, email and toll-free number, we’ve added a simple online application that members can complete with just a smartphone.

Visit the information page to learn more about the benefit and pick the application method that suits you best.

Date Change for Neyaashiinigmiing Grocery Gift Card Distribution

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the grocery gift card distribution scheduled for June 29 to July 2 next week has been rescheduled to Monday July 6th, Tuesday July 7th and Wednesday July 8th, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, at the Band Office, 135 Lakeshore Boulevard.

A date change is required as, despite our best efforts, we did not receive a guarantee that the supply of gift cards would be delivered to the community before the scheduled distribution date.

We sincerely apologize for the unforeseen delay and thank you for your patience.

Council Announces New Food Security Benefit

The Council, using funds released from the Coldwater Trust, has announced a new program that will provide a $150 grocery gift card to each member household in Canada. Like the Nawash HelloFresh Program that recently concluded, this benefit is limited to Canadian residents only, and will provide one card per household, but it is available to member households in Neyaashiinigmiing as well. Visit the program information page for details on how to apply, and to download the application form. The COVID-19 pandemic is ongoing, with no end in sight, but the Council remains committed to assisting members as much as we can during this difficult time.
