Water Treatment

Communal System:

One water treatment plant located at 85 Community Center Road. This system includes 2 booster stations, 1 wetwell and 1 water treatment tower (454 Cubic meters). 27 kilometers of water main run throughout the community and is composed primarily of 8 inch PVC Pipe. We have 68 fire hydrants and approximately 250 service hook-ups.

Service Provided:

The purpose of the Water Treatment Plant is to provide safe and potable drinking water for the community and promote the importance of a safe and potable water supply through the distribution system. Operators maintain the water treatment plant, pumps, booster station, tower and pipes within the system. Regular and weekly testing ensures the safety of the piped water to the community. We also provide non-potable water delivery to 22 homes within the community.

Operators are required to train continuously to ensure the safety of the plant and distribution system. Upgrading the operator's knowledge of proper water operation and maintenance requirements assists the operator with meeting legislative requirements.
