The main goal of the Chippewas of Nawash First Nation Homemaker Program is to enable thecommunity members to remain as independent as possible in their own
home and community by providing a professional homecare service. The Homemaker Program provides homemaking services to individuals to establish and maintain a
more healthy and safer home environment. They work directly and cooperatively with the individual, family and other community services to assist those to achieve
maximum independence appropriate to their situation.

The Homemaker Program provides assistance to those needing personal care as required by the individual or family in carrying out normal functions of daily life such as;
eating, washing, dressing and activities which enhance their feeling of wellbeing. All care provided is client centered and flexible to meet the individual needs of each client
and/ or family. The Homemaker Proggram also provides regular and support Homemaker staff, this covers Personal Support Worker training and Enhanced Skills Training
under ministry guidelines.
