This morning, December 16th, Founder and CEO of ESupply Canada, Steven Vanloffeld presented a $25,000 scholarship to the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation! This amount will be distributed over a 10 year period. Each year, one Chippewas of Nawash student will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: January 7, 2022
The scholarship is to be awarded to one Nawash student enrolled in one of the following post-secondary programs: Business, Economics, Law or the Trades.
Terms of Reference and Guidelines
BEFORE YOU APPLY: Check your eligibility before you begin the application process.
You are eligible only if all of the following boxes apply to you:
☐ You are a Band member of Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation.
☐ You have been accepted into a College or University program in the business, economics, law and the trades.
The scholarship is $2,500, awarded annually. If you were a successful candidate in the past, you must complete the application and submit a copy of your grades to be eligible to reapply for the scholarship.

PREPARING YOUR APPLICATION: Provide as much detail as possible on this application, and remember to include the one-page essay. Those evaluating your application can only know you through the information you provide. Ensure you have all required information and attachments by reviewing the application checklist. You are welcome to send photographs or additional certificates or other information if you wish, however you must understand that they cannot be returned to you.

AWARDING OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
The Future Leaders’ Scholarship was established by eSupply Canada. The Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation Board of Education office is only responsible for administering the application process. This means that we accept the applications, review applications and make recommendations to the eSupply Future Leaders’ Scholarship Selection Committee for the final decision and issue of the scholarship award.
Please compile all of the required attachments, complete the budget section and submit the application package, making sure to include all of the following:
- Completed Application Form
- Copy of your acceptance letter or confirmation of enrolment
- Copy of your status card front and back
- One-Page Essay
- Budget sheet
- One Letter of Reference
Make a photocopy of your application if possible to keep for your own records.
Mail or email your completed application package to the address below, well in advance of the deadline. The complete application package must be received by January 7th or it will not be accepted.

The Chippewas of Nawash Board of Education – Future Leaders’ Scholarship Selection Committee manages the review and selection process, and is an independent committee comprised of: a Board trustee, two Board staff and a Council Liaison. The selection committee reviews all applications from all applicants.
The selection committee will base its decision on:
o Achievements (how you got where you are today)
o Aspirations, educational and other (where you want to get to)
o Financial need (Budget sheet)
o Program of study
Successful applicants will be notified by email, by the last business day in January. For 2022, the date for notification will be January 31st.
