Introduction to our new Senior Administrative Officer

Hello Chippewas of Nawash Community,

My name is Michael Earl, I was recently hired as the Senior Administrative Officer for the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation. I would like to take this time to introduce myself. I am a married father of three young boys and resident of Georgian Bluffs with family ties to the Grey-Bruce area. While, I am originally from Ontario, I spent almost a decade living in Dawson City, Yukon. During my years in the Yukon worked closely with the First Nation community. My experiences in the Far North and my studies at Trent University have led me to become a passionate advocate of First Nation sovereignty and self-determination. As the Executive Director for the Tr’ondek Hwech’in Self-Governing First Nation located in Dawson City, Yukon I was responsible to the Chief and Council and entrusted with overseeing the Administration of the government.

As the Senior Administrative Officer for the Chippewas of Nawash, I will work hard to ensure that your government programs and services are delivered professionally in an accountable and fiscally responsible manner.

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve your community and appreciate this opportunity to introduce myself.
