Indigenous Mini-University Program

Every year the Indigenous Student Centre at Western University hosts a week-long opportunity for Indigenous youth to explore post-secondary through interactive cultural and academic workshops. Participants will get to meet professors, staff, and community members. Most importantly, participants will get to meet and make friends with other Indigenous youth from all over Turtle Island. The Mini-U team of current Indigenous Western University students support and facilitate the program.

There are two sessions to choose from:

  • Otter Session (ages 11-13): Sunday, July 11th – Friday, July 16th, 2021
  • Crane Session (ages 14-17): Sunday, August 1st – Friday, August 6th, 2021

Each session will have up to 30 participants. This summer the program will be free and offered virtually, with tech and internet support available to all applicants.

Students are encouraged to apply by May 9th, 2021.
