The Council is seeking interested and active Chippewas of Nawash members to sit on several open committees dealing with pressing issues in the community. Effective committees combine the perspectives of elected officials, staff and civilians together into a working whole. The input of civilian members in governance committees is invaluable to the proper and efficient functioning of the Administration and helps ensure that the needs of members are being appropriately met.

We are currently seeking members to sit on the Capital Committee, Social Development Committee and Matrimonial Real Property Committee.

Members interested in working with a committee can find more information on the application form. If you don’t have a printer, paper copies of the application form can also be picked up at the Band Office. The deadline for application is November 6, 2020, at 4:30 PM.
