Public Works Committee 2003-2005

The Public Works Departments of the Chippewas of Nawash are maintained through the Public Works Committee and Chief and Council. The departments that are public works for the Chippewas of Nawash are Roads; Water; Fire Sanitation; Street Lighting; Lagoon and Band Owned Equipment.

There are two supervisors who oversee these 7 departments. Mark Nadjiwon is the Roads Supervisor and also supervises the Sanitation, Street Lighting, Lagoon and Band Owned Equipment Department. The clerk for the Roads Department is Janna Solomon.

David Keeshig supervises the Water Department , as well as being the Fire Chief. Lesley Shoefly assists in the administration of the Fire Department.

The Public Works Committee, which is comprised of 5 members and a Councilor Liaison oversees all activities of the Public Works.
