Nawash Council and Economic Development have the responsibility to the membership to ensure that the resources of Nawash are planned, managed utilized in the best interest of the membership and in planning and promoting the economic well being of the community.

The overall goal of the Economic Development Department is to enhance and implement economic opportunities within Nawash which will improve the economic, environmental sustainability and social equity of the Chippewas of Nawash First Nation community.
